  1. Find a participating bank or credit union in your neighborhood.
  2. Bank on Boulder County has an increasing number of partner branches in the Boulder County area. To find the bank or credit union that's best for you, use our easy bank locator tool below. For a map and list of all participating branches click here (coming). Or look for the Bank on Boulder County sign at a bank or credit union in your community.

  3. Ask them about opening a low-cost bank account.
  4. Our financial partners have banking products just for you. They'll answer your questions and help you open an account that best serves your needs. To see information about accounts offered through Bank on Boulder County.

  5. Remember to bring some identification.
  6. You don't need a Social Security number, but you will need a passport, Colorado ID, Mexican Matricula card, or other government issued identification card. And most banks will request a second form of ID, not including cell phone bills.

  7. Open your new bank account.
